The Kentucky State Police Foundation exists to provide a critical bridge between the Agency appropriated budget and the reality of unfunded mandates that arise throughout the budget cycle. We also assist KSP with specialty items that Troopers, Officers, and staff need to accomplish their missions, such as Fentanyl response kits, tourniquets, and unique training equipment. Your support makes that happen!
Our Troopers, Officers and staff provide compassionate support to the Commonwealth of Kentucky, daily. Occasionally, the KSP Foundation must offer additional help as we honor the dedication of duty by the agency during the most tragic of times.
The Kentucky State Police Foundation regularly collects donations of tangible items to further training initiatives. Those items contribute to in-kind supplies, driver skills track, indoor firing range, specialized training needs and major gifts for facilities.
Trooper Island Camp was developed by the Kentucky State Police as part of a long range program of public service to the youth of Kentucky. At Trooper Island, young people participate in a one week long program grounded on hope and desire of a better tomorrow.

Your support enables the Foundation to serve as the bridge between the restricted general budget that the Agency receives, and specialized needs that were not funded, or even a need, during the budget planning process. With your help we can provide those funds, find corporate partners to share that burden, or create a collaborative partnership to meet those immediate needs for the Agency to better serve the Commonwealth.
While Trooper Teddy may look like a stuffed animal, it can become a child’s best friend after a crisis. Troopers share these bears stuffed with happiness to children after a traumatic experience like a car crash, terminally ill diagnosis or child sexual abuse case.
